Staking Multipliers
Time-locked Multipliers
Eclipse Pad introduces a time-locked staking system with multipliers. Users staking the ECLIP token have the chance to earn a multiplier on both their Cosmic Essense and their share of the Eclipse staking rewards. These staking multipliers are earned by staking and locking up ECLIP tokens for a longer duration. The longer the lock, the higher the multipliers.
This staking period for ECLIP tokens ranges in monthly increments from 1 to 24 months. The minimum available timeframe for staking is 1 month to prevent the gaming of IDOs and the maximum period is 24 months.
Base multipliers range from 1x to 3x, with a 1-month staking period being equal to a 1x multiplier and 24 months equal to a 3x multiplier.
ie. Tom stakes some ECLIP tokens to participate in IDOs. He chooses to stake his tokens for 12 months in order to receive higher benefits. Tom receives a 1.95x multiplier on both his Cosmic Essence and his Staking reward share in the pool.
Weighting Multipliers
In addition, users are also able to choose their weighting between earning more Cosmic Essence or higher staking rewards. Users are given a choice between three options: More IDOs When the "More IDOs" option is selected, the user opts to receive a lower multiplier for staking rewards, but a higher multiplier for Cosmic Essence. This weighting is set at 80:20. The multiplier shifts from the default 1x-3x for Cosmic Essence and 1x-3x for Staking rewards to 1.6x-4.8x for Cosmic Essence and 0.4x-1.2x for staking rewards. Neutral is the default option, this is set to 50:50, where the user receives an equal multiplier for both Cosmic Essence and staking rewards. This multiplier range is 1x-3x for both Cosmic Essence and staking rewards and is ideal for users who want exposure to both. More Staking Rewards
When the "More Yield" option is selected, the user opts to receive a lower multiplier of Cosmic Essence, but a higher multiplier and exposure to staking rewards. This weighting is set at 80:20. The multiplier shifts from the default 1x-3x for Cosmic Essence and 1x-3x for Staking rewards to 1.6x-4.8x for staking rewards and 0.4x-1.2x for Cosmic Essence.
ie. Tom stakes his 1000 ECLIP tokens under the "More IDOs" staking option with the 24-month time-lock. By selecting "More IDOs", Tom receives lower exposure to staking rewards, but a higher multiplier of Cosmic Essence. Due to Tom staking for 24 months, where he would normally receive a 3x multiplier for staking rewards and a 3x multiplier for Cosmic essence on the default neutral option, Tom instead receives a 4.8x multiplier for Cosmic Essence and a 1.2x multiplier for Staking rewards, boosting his chances of IDO participation and higher allocation.
